Good news! Copies of a new, slightly revised version of The Zoo of Impossible Animals were recently shipped from the printer and should arrive this week. Before they do, I’m trying to clear out my remaining 25 or so copies of the original version. So I’m selling the books at HALF OFF ($5.75 plus shipping) until Friday.
If you haven’t ordered a copy and would like one, now is the time!
I want to thank all of you (especially the ladies of Physician Mom’s Group and the good people of St. Jeanne de Lestonnac School) for the continuing success of the Zoo of Impossible Animals. I’ve heard great feedback from parents and kids who are finding the book as enjoyable to read as it was for me to write. I’m down to my last 30 copies, which means that soon copies will only be available through Amazon. But I’ve completed the new edits for the reprint (how did all those typos get in there?) and the book is with the printing house. New copies should be delivered in two weeks.
If you haven’t done so already, I’d love it if you could head over to Amazon and give the book a positive review. It helps get the word out to those who haven’t read it.
The book signing event at St. Jeanne’s book fair last Friday went very well! We sold 20 or so books in about an hour. Even though the school didn’t request it, I decided to donate 25% of the sales back to the school. I had the pleasure of meeting many new students and families at the school in addition to many old friends. Principal Kristin Mora (who makes a special appearance in ZIA) and school president Sister Ernestine stopped by to say hello as well. My thanks also go out to librarian Sue Fitzgerald for her generous support. Thank you!
I’ve received a few requests from teachers and parents to do similar book signings and author visits at their school. Just let me know and I’d be happy to speak to your class or school as time permits.
